The Goods: For 2007, Scott decided to take their best selling goggle, the HiVoltage 3, and take it to the next level. They completely customized it with a two-tone chrome frame split by neutral gray, a black chrome lens, chrome nose guard and a custom strap color/graphic scheme. These goggles are by far the flashiest pair of goggles we’ve seen this year. To keep them clean and scratch free between rides, a molded Bio-Foam case is included.
The Verdict: You might remember our review on the HiVoltage 3—we had some problems with its tear-off system (all the tear-offs and left peg ripped off). So when Scott sent us the Ultimate HiVoltage, we paid extra close attention to our tear-offs. After hours of riding, and three packs of tear-offs, we must say the problem seems to have been fixed.
These goggles still keep the sweat out of your eyes after hours of riding thanks to Scotts four-layer foam. And they feel great! They are so soft you hardly notice you’re wearing them. The chrome lens that comes with is great on bright sunny days but make sure you have a spare set of goggles around for night riding. Overall, the Ultimate Hi-Voltage takes what the Hi-Voltage 3 has and makes it better. Now if we could only get it in some different color schemes…

Misses: Limited color options, and no clear lens included
