The Goods: Hydrapak designs hydration systems for extreme sports. It’s not just a bag of water and a tube for these guys. This particular pack holds 70 oz of water and weighs in at just over a pound. A unique feature to all Hydrapak systems is the air ventilation systems. Which allow air to rush between the pack and your back, to dissipate body heat and perspiration. It also has a capacity-expanding zipper for added gear storage space.
The Verdict: We’ve always been big fans of hydration systems, when you’re on the trails all day you need water. These packs have a waist and chest buckle to keep the pack in place, there is no need to worry about the pack moving around while you ride. The mouthpiece is flawless, it doesn’t leak all over the place like similar designs. The pack is easy to clean. You simply flip the reservoir inside out and wash it off. We have yet to find anything wrong with it, we even tried running the reservoir over with our quad and it didn’t harm it at all.
Hits: Keeps you cool, great storage, and stays put.
Misses: Stopping to use the bathroom.
