This week we stopped by Pro Armor to grill Alex and Fred. Everything from bumpers to nerf bars is made in house. Just walking around with these two guys showed us how much they love the sport and their products.. For all the photos click HERE! QUAD: How did Pro Armor get started? Pro Armor: In 1996 we started doing machine work for Yamaha. Within five years we gained a lot of experience making parts for them. When the Raptor 660 line came out Yamaha asked us to make a lot of their ATV accessory line. In 2001 we started making products under our own name Pro Armor. We also began to manufacture for other companies—in 2002 Polaris came on board with the Predator. Now we also work with Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Artic Cat. QUAD: What is your number one selling product? Pro Armor: The Fat Peg Nerf Bar is currently our top seller, although we see the new Power Grip system taking the top spot soon. The Power Grip system is a three-part system that includes the Nerf Bar, Peg, and Heel Guard. QUAD: How involved is Pro Armor in the racing scene? Pro Armor: We are extremely involved with riders. We currently have two past national champions, John Natalie in 2005, and Joe Byrd in 2006. We also have the top three racers in the GNC ATVA series, and the number one spot in the WPSA Pro Am Class. We accept resumes throughout the year, so anyone who is interested, we are always looking for riders. We also have a great discount program for racers of all levels. QUAD: What is next for Pro Armor? Pro Armor: We have been working hard to take Pro Armor to the next level. We are trying to position ourselves as the number one ATV accessory manufacture. We will continue to expand our UTV product lines and our ATV lines as well. QUAD: What is your favorite thing about the industry? Pro Armor: The industry is great! It’s never a suit and tie environment, we get to be ourselves everyday. Not to mention I love riding, everything about the industry is what I like to do for recreation. It makes my job a lot more fun.
