The Goods: For 2008 Troy Lee Designs had created the lightest and most breathable gear possible. The pants are made from state-of-the-art 500 Denier nylon mesh. The GP Air race pant is purpose-built to fend off the nastiest heat and humidity. The GP Air Jersey is athletically cut from small holed micro mesh fiber and features a V-neck collar and Raglan sleeves. Troy Lee claims the GP Air is the lightest, highest performing jersey in motorcross today. They also claim the GP Air gear is unmatched when it comes to performing in supernatural heat and wilting humidity.
The Verdict: Death Valley is rightly named because of its incredibly high temperatures. What better place to test this new gear, right? It was hot—really hot! The new gear worked great; it allowed the slightest of breezes to be felt. The jersey was so light, it was like wearing nothing at all. If you plan on riding at all this summer, we highly recommend this gear..
Hits: Super light, great airflow, and looks great.
Misses: We haven’t found anything yet.
Rating: 5 out of 5
