When changing your oil, it is difficult to properly measure what goes in by using the measurements on the side of the bottle. This is especially true when using a one-gallon bottle. Grab an old plastic measuring cup from the kitchen (one that no one will miss) and measure up the proper amount of oil for your quad. Be sure to check your owner’s manual for the correct amount. It is absolutely vital that you run the correct amount of oil to properly protect your engine’s internal components. Remember that wet measuring cups and dry measuring cups are different (don’t ask us why, they just are), and make sure to keep the cup you use hidden in the garage so that it doesn’t end up measuring tomorrow night’s casserole ingredients. Yuck!
