Inspect your quads shock seals for any signs of oil seepage. If there is oil on the shock shaft or on the bumper, get the shock serviced. Make sure the rubber shock bumper (the little rubber nub at the bottom of the shock shaft) is in good shape. If it’s dry-rotted or damaged, replace it with a new one. If you ride regularly, every few months pull all the shock bolts and make sure they’re greased properly. Because of the terrains that we push our machinery over, shocks and springs can become dinged and tarnished. A set of shock covers will protect the shocks from rocks and mud and will keep them looking new. Be sure to remove the covers and clean the shocks after every ride.
