We caught up with Thor this week down at their office in El Cajon, CA. Our Thor rep Jamie Lilly gave us a quick tour of the place. We then sat down and talked about where Thor has been and where they are going.

QUAD: Jamie now that we have gotten the grand tour, can you tell us a bit about Thor’s history?

Jamie: Sure, this year Thor is celebrating it’s 40th anniversary, we’ve been around for quite some time. Thor has seen the evolution of motocross apparel and continues to make riding more comfortable and safer.

QUAD: What product do ATV riders seem most interested in? ?

Jamie: The Thor 50/50 boots are a big hit. Some riders simply don’t need a heavy-duty boot, but still want ankle protection. Obviously someone racing motocross should still wear a full size boot.

QUAD: We know you can’t tell us what you’re coming out with next year, but is there anything people should keep an eye out for in the future? ?

Jamie: Look for upgrades to our boot lineup in the near future. And our 2008 gear just came out and it looks awesome.

QUAD: What kind of rider support does Thor offer? ?

Jamie: Right now we sponsor Dustin Nelson of the Factory Yamaha Team. He also does all of our ATV product testing. Our rider support program for ATVs is small, but is growing. So keep sending in applications!

QUAD: What is your favorite thing about the industry? ?

Jamie: Me personally? I love to travel to all the races, and meet all the people. It’s amazing to see how many different types of people love our products.
