Jet tips

To get the most out of your FCR carb-equipped quad, the airscrew must be adjusted to account for altitude and air density, as well as aftermarket exhaust. Many FCR carbs supplied on green-sticker-ready ATVs such as the ‘06-’08 TRX450R come with a nonadjustable airscrew (there’s no slot for a screwdriver or wrench). This was done to pass emissions laws and be eligible for the green sticker. With the float bowl removed, you can unscrew the airscrew with pliers and cut a screwdriver slot into its head with a small Dremel blade or a really small hacksaw blade. Once reinstalled, you’ll have an adjustable airscrew.

Just to help out with the technical stuff..

This screw is commonly referred to as an Air Mixture screw..

But… I believe that it’s really a Fuel Mixture screw..
