Don’t Let Chemicals Ruin Anodized Parts If your bike has any anodized parts such as suspension linkage or side covers, be very careful with any harsh cleaners and sprays. Certain cleaning solutions as well as carb cleaner and brake cleaner can quickly fade or destroy an anodized finish. When cleaning these parts either use mild soap and water or spot test your cleaner on a part that does not show.
