ATR (All Terrain Research) has come up with a pretty cool power steering unit for the Polaris Sportsman. This power steering system uses the latest in electric power steering technology, and senses torque from driver input and engages the motor to drastically reduce steering effort. The system also uses a sensor to read all steering kick back and the motor absorbs hard impacts that would normally knock the handle bars out of your hands. This power steering claims to be so responsive that it works in rough conditions (such as racing the GNCC series). With the unit absorbing all steering kick back it gives a definite competitive advantage. The system is a bolt on install (minus minimal wiring) and comes with detailed installation instructions. It retails for $1,250 and you can learn more by going to www.atrpowersports.com.
