QUAD: Polaris is one of only two American ATV manufacturers. How does that help the company?
Donna: Polaris was founded in Roseau, Minnesota in 1954. We continue to produce ATVs, utility vehicles, snowmobiles and motorcycles in America. We understand the needs of the U.S. power sports enthusiast and find many Polaris riders appreciate the fact that we are an American company.
QUAD: What is Polaris’ most popular ATV model?
Donna: The Sportsman 500 has been our best-selling model of all time.
QUAD: Has the new KTM engine in the Outlaw helped spark new interest in the model?
Donna: Yes. We continue to receive positive feedback about the KTM engine. The engine shaved more than 40 pounds off the vehicle and made it the fastest accelerating stock ATV available. People appreciate the power.
QUAD: Which off-road enthusiasts was the new Ranger RAZR designed for?
Donna: The RANGER RZR was created for trail enthusiasts, hunters and side-by-side sport enthusiasts.
QUAD: What’s your favorite thing about ATVs and the industry?
Donna: My favorite thing is that it’s a fun industry to work in. Not many people can say they have fun at work or that their business trips include riding some of the most-scenic and awesome places in the country.
