Glen Helen in San Bernardino, California was host to round 5 of the ITP Quadcross series. There were 20 entries in the Pro class—names like Ellis, Spponer, Shafe, Chislock, and Eichner. The big surprise was Doug Eichner racing his Polaris Outlaw 525 in the Pro Open Class.
First up was the Pro 450 race where Kory Ellis would get the holeshot and never look back. Josh Frederick and Jeremy Schell would battle it out for second and third, with Josh snagging second.
Next up was the Pro Open where everyone was excited to see what the Polaris Outlaw 525 and Eichner could do. The race started out great until Eichner and his Outlaw went end over end and was unable to finish the race.
The second Pro 450 race would see Kory Ellis to the front of the pack and a second holeshot for the day. Cyle Chislock would take the first turn and get stuck in traffic taking his KFX flying into the air. After recovering from the wreck and a push start from the officials he was back in the race. He was far behind and wouldn’t be able to catch the leaders. Kory Ellis would claim his second ITP Quadcross in a row and extend his points lead.
The next round will be held at Glen Helen again on July 22. Quad Magazine will be there bringing you the highlights!
