Polaris Podiums in Two Race Circuits

Eichner takes third overall in both WORCS Pro ATV and UTV races, Rath takes third at GNCC

Minneapolis, March 4, 2009 – It was lucky No. 3 for Polaris this past weekend with Doug Eichner taking third on both his Outlaw 450 and RANGER RZR S at Round 2, of the WORCS Racing Series, in Adelonto, Calif., and Daryl Rath taking third on his Sportsman 850 XP with power steering at GNCC.

Eichner blasted out of the gate taking the holeshot and took third overall in the “Pro” class on his Polaris Outlaw 450. Eichner currently is sitting in fourth in the Pro ATV standings and is looking to advance. In the UTV races, Eichner won the “UTV 2” class by five minutes and finished third overall. Eichner is the defending UTV champion and this was his first UTV race of the 2009 WORCS season. Mark Holz and his RANGER RZR took first overall in the race and are undefeated in the series.

At the River Ranch, Fla. GNCC race, Rath rode his Sportsman 850 XP with power steering to a third place win in the “4×4 Open” class with teammate Frank Batista finishing fourth. The team had some minor setbacks during the race and look to have everything dialed in for the next GNCC race, on March 7-8.
