Be the first to ride the all new track at the 2009 Stateline Supermoto Challenge
Once again We are excited to announce the 4th Nic Granlund Quad Supermoto School @ The Stateline Supermoto Challenge April 2nd 2009
This school will be a full day school with an open practice at the end of the day. You will be one of the few that will get the opportunity to get on this track before anyone else. You will also get the chance to dissect the track with State Line ATV champ and AMA pro Nic Granlund to learn his speed secrets.
Last year almost half the students that attended the school won their races…this is proof that Nic’s instruction coupled with a full day on the track will guarantee you to place higher in your class.
This is what we will be working on with you:
Supermoto Quad Set-up: Suspension, Tires, tire pressures, general maintenance, and all the small things to go fast.
Braking: including trail braking, getting in and out of the corner, braking in the dirt, applying the rear brake smoothly.
Clutch Control: Learn to use the clutch to drive into the corners smooth and with confidence. The smoother you can enter the corner the faster you can exit!
Throttle Control: When to roll off the throttle and when to get on the gas!
Putting it all together: It order to get into and out of a corner quickly you have to master brake / Clutch / Throttle Control. This is the core of the class and the secret to going fast on a quad.
Line selection: We will spend time talking about track mapping, walking a track and seeing how the lines link together and why.
Passing: How, where and when to pass.
Body positioning: We will work individually to get your body in the right spot on the quad. Find out what really works for supermoto.
Riding styles: Are you a mx or tt racer we will get you comfortable on pavement.
Starts: to help you get of the line for the most important holeshoot.
And of course….Backing it in! We will teach you when and where to back it in….and when not to back it in.
and much more…
It is all these small things that can help reduce those lap times dramatically. We have literally seen people reduce their lap time by seconds.
