Last weekend Team Gorilla loaded the rigs and headed to Doles, GA for the Mudder’s Magazine Firecracker Bash at Creek Bottom ATV Park. Attendance was around 2,000 and there were around 200 racers. The CMR racers and families are traveling up to 24 hours ONE WAY to compete at these events.
Friday, Team Gorilla powered by Can Am’s Mr. Nasty Time(The Largest ATV on Earth), took home the Most Unique trophy in the East Coast Dirty Girls Show N Shine, while Can Am DSM Dennis Boyd claimed the Show N Shine 1st Place with his 2008 Can AM LTD Gorilla Lifted “Silver Stallion”. It turned heads like a Gorilla Silverback slings mud.

Many of the race teams showed up at the Team Gorilla race rig to enjoy grilled food and tons of Amp and Mountain Dew from our new drink sponsor.
Friday night in the ITP Swamp Cross Team Gorilla rider Barry LeBlanc punished himself and his machine to claim a 2nd in the 500 Class. Later, in the Open Pro (Big Boy) Class, Team Gorilla Can Am riders David Smith and Brandon Broussard battled it out for 3rd and the 1-2 round. David Smith captured third while Brandon Broussard went on to race Russell Coker in the final. Heading into the second lap, Broussard attempted to make a move on Coker and was thrown like a bull rider in the PBR finals. Thankfully he suffered only a bruised right arm and a good mud bath from the crash. The Can Am Outlander Turbo MAX bike took a good beating and was made ready the next day thanks to the support of the onsite Can Am reps, truck drivers, Team Gorilla riders and Can Am DSM’s and Amp Energy drink.
Saturday made for a beautiful day of mud bog racing. Most of the Gorilla riders advanced through the first heats, but did not fare well after that. Brandon Broussard had some belt problems from the crash the night before. David Smith and Dewayne Crowder raced in the semi’s and Crowder advancing to claim a 2nd next to a highly modified Brute Force piloted by Mark Wise.
Later in the evening, Team Gorilla went out to do what it does second best, conquering massive mud holes on trails. We put the Can Ams to the test and drew a crowd at every turn. We wanted everyone to know that our Team and our sponsors don’t just drag race in a mud bog or circle pit, so we went on a rampage. After a brutal trail ride the only thing broken were hearts when the Can Am’s showed up every other OEM..
A young boy named Trevor who has a terminal cancer attended the event with his Mother. Saturday evening the crowd took up a collection in about ten minutes for a whopping $3,800.00! Later that night Team Gorilla rider DaWayne Crowder took Trevor for a ride in some nasty mud holes. It was great to be able to put a smile on that kids face. We all have so much to be thankful for.

I’m sorry but yes Dawayne Crowder did take him. I understand that Randy took him through the bog pit but this is a write up about what Team Gorilla did.
