Tech Tip: Clutch Plate Bath

If you’ve got new clutch plates for your quad, soak them overnight in oil before installing them. This allows the fiber clutch plates to absorb the most oil and expand to their fullest thickness before installation. This trick will make the clutch plates last longer and produce a smoother clutch feel than a quick dip in the oil before installation.
