When you’re working on your quad, it’s easy to lose track of which bolt came from what spot. The way we keep track when working on our ATVs is by placing all the bolts we remove back into their locations once the part has been separated from them. If they have a nut associated with them, we put the nut finger tight on the backside. For example, if you are removing linkage, some bolts must face a certain direction and are very close in length and diameter to others but should not be mixed up. By placing each bolt back into its stock frame location as you go, you’ll save yourself headaches later. And trust us, we learned this one the hard way!
