Tip of the Day: Clutch Fibers and Plates

If you’re replacing your quad’s clutch fibers and plates, never mix and match them. If your stock plates look fine but the fibers are worn out, replace them with a complete new set of fibers and plates. You shouldn’t mix, for instance, Hinson clutch plates with your quad’s stock fibers, or vice versa. These components are designed very specifically to work together, and playing “hodge podge clutch” won’t get you very far out on the trail. So, if you replace one part, replace them all!
