If you know someone who has a side-by-side machine they can’t get enough of, then take a look at our list of great gifts to sup up their machine. Half the fun of owning a side-by-side is all the cool stuff you can add to it (the other half is riding it).
1. Helmet
You need one. If you’re exploring places you can only get to in your UTV, you need to be wearing a helmet. Don’t be foolish and ride without one!

2. Stereo System
It’s mind boggling how many cool systems are available for Rhinos, RZRs, and Teryx UTVs. For a leisurely ride through the dunes to a show-off session with your friends, you need a bumping stereo installed into your side-by-side. There are a few out there made specially for the machine that’s in your garage right now!

3. Tires and Wheels
Want to have a cooler UTV than your friends? Of course you do. Getting a sweet tire and wheel package is the place to start. The tires will handle tougher terrain and the wheels will withstand more beating…but we know the real reason you need new wheels and meats—they look awesome!

4. Exhaust
For a little more pep and a lot more bark, exhaust systems are a great way to upgrade a UTV. A slip-on exhaust is easy to install and will wake up your beast a little. A full system is more involved, but if you’re handy in the garage it won’t be a big deal. Since side-by-side machines are bigger and two cans cost more than one, it’ll put a bigger dent in your wallet than a standard ATV exhaust.

5. Lighting System
Stock lights are fine, but to really light up the trail, dunes, or your campsite, a set of aftermarket lights are just want you need. Putting a light bar across the top frame of your UTV will look great and help you see more.

6. Rear Seats
Rear seats for your side-by-side mean that you can carry more passengers on your never-ending search for fun. Of course, this means your cargo capacity will be diminished and you’ll have to find another way to load in supplies. But that’s a small price to pay for more people to have fun with.

7. GPS
Getting lost is so last year. Get with the times and get a GPS system for your UTV. It’ll be very useful when exploring unfamiliar territory, and it’s a great way to keep track of secret spots that you’ve discovered along the way. Getting back to your truck and trailer is easy with a GPS, and not having to focus on where you are and how far you’ve gone is nice.

8. Winch
If you ever need a winch, it’s on the front of your UTV. Pulling a quad out of a bind is easier than trying to pull, push, or lift one of these side-by-side monsters. A winch means you’ll have less back-breaking work if you get stuck, and it means you can have more fun since you don’t have to worry about getting out of a mess.

9. Bumpers
Having a bigger machine means you can conquer bigger obstacles. But just in case those obstacles decide they want to conquer you, having heavy-duty bumpers is a good idea. There are a lot of companies who are stepping up to the plate with a lot of great stuff for UTVs, so check around!

10. Roof
Having a roof on your side-by-side is awesome. It’ll keep you dry when it rains, and it’ll keep all that sand out of your way when you’re in the dunes. Adding a roof may not seem like such a big deal, but once you have one you’ll be amazed at how much it does for you.
