Anyone out there tell me the ups and downs on different tire and rim sizes and chain and sprocket sizes. I ride a YFZ450 and i am new to MX racing but love the track i still ride stock tires and chain drive. thanks any input will help!

Don't know all the details, but taller tires is more top end slower acceleration, smaller tires is more acceleration less top end.  I think the same goes for the sprockets.  The larger the rim the less rubber so less rotating mass, faster starts and smoother suspension feel.  hope my very simple explanation helps
