1. Oceano Dunes (Pismo), California
Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area (formerly Pismo) has the most extensive coastal dunes in California. Campsites are available by reservation year-round, but you have to bring your own water.

2. Glamis, California
The Imperial Sand Dunes, or Glamis, also known as the Algodones Dunes, are the biggest mass of sand dunes in California. That’s why this place is so popular with quad riders! The largest and most heavily used area of Glamis begins at California Highway 78 and continues south just past Interstate 8.

3. Coral Pink Dunes, Utah
The Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park has more than 3,000 acres of sandy fun. Camping, rest rooms, and showers are available in the campground, which has 2,000 campsites ranging from primitive to plush.

4. Little Sahara Dunes, Utah
In the Sevier Desert of central Utah, the Little Sahara Recreation Area is one of the largest dune areas in Utah, with 124 square miles of giant, free-moving sand dunes.

5. Killpecker Dunes, Wyoming
The Killpecker Dunes have 109,000 acres, extending 55 miles east from the Green River Basin across the Continental Divide into the Great Divide Basin. Quads are welcome on the eastern part of the area.

6. St. Anthony Dunes, Idaho
The St. Anthony Sand Dunes have more than 11,000 acres of dunes that reach up to 400 feet high and move about eight feet per year. There are primitive campsites on the east end of the dunes, and developed camping is located at Egin Lakes Access Recreaction Site.

7. Silver Lake, Michigan
Bordering Lake Michigan and Silver Lake, the Silver Lake Sand Dune Access area has nearly 2,000 acres of rolling sand hills 1.5 miles wide and three miles long. The northern area of the dunes is reserved for off-road vehicles.
